JUSTIN ASHLEY PREPARED TO LAUNCH STRUTMASTERS.COM INFLUENCER DRAGSTER
CONCORD, ND – Justin Ashley has dreamed of this moment since he was a child.
Friday, when qualifying opens for the NHRA Carolina Nationals at zMax Dragway in Charlotte, NC, the successful Top Alcohol Dragster racer will make the transition to Top Fuel behind the wheel of the Strutmasters.com-sponsored dragster branded as “The Influencer.”
Ashley, the 24-year-old real estate developer who drives the Davis Motorsports dragster, plans to use the social media-branded, 10,000-horsepower machine to promote more than just his sponsors. Ashley will also launch an online multi-episode documentary, dubbed Fix, Flip Fuel. The show gives a behind the scenes look at Ashley’s life as he balances his drag racing passion with his fix and flip business on New York’s Long Island, turning distressed properties into beautiful homes.
“When we developed our marketing program, we wanted to think totally outside of the box,” Ashley explained. “The social media world is huge, whether it’s Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, or all the others, we felt it would be best to build a strategy around this opportunity. We launched this car intending to take advantage of this huge reach.”
Ashley has already secured sponsorship with Strutmasters and GuardLab and is in ongoing negotiations with others for the 2020 season. Aaron Brooks, who joined the team last month, will tune Ashley’s dragster alongside Jason Bunker and the rest of the team led by Dustin Davis.
Ashley, who licensed for Top Fuel back in 2017, has used multiple test sessions to prepare for Friday’s debut.
“I’m excited about the opportunity,” Ashley said. “There’s been a lot of anticipation for this moment. Our team has worked hard to get here, and I’m grateful to be part of such a great group. I have the utmost confidence in this team to go out there and put our best foot forward and be successful. I’m really excited and humbled to be able to line up against the best drivers in the sport. “Friday cannot come soon enough for me.”
